Hemsedal

Hemsedal is a popular tourist destination in Norwegian mountains. Sometimes called “Scandinavian Alps” it has a lot of opportunities for active tourists, all year round.

Winter

Winter is the main season as Hemsedal is a well-known ski resort. Operated by SkiStar, the resort has lots of lifts and slopes for alpine skiers of any level. The lower area is well-equipped for children.

You also find many places to eat and relax at the bottom of the mountain, as well as a shopping area with quality sport clothes and gear.

If you prefer cross-country skiing, Hemsedal has plenty to offer too. From shorter tracks around the Ski Centre and the town, to larger groomed tracks within 15 minutes drive from the apartment.

Summer

It is very busy in Hemsedal also during summer. Guests enjoy numerous activities like hiking, mountain biking, fishing and just wandering around with some picnic gear.

A newly opened Høyt og Lavt climbing park is the latest addition to Hemsedal activities list outside winter.
